2024 Operation Boo Dat

Friday, October 25, 2024 kicks off OPERATION BOO DAT!

U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) E/LA New Orleans Task Force is sponsoring its annual Operation Boo Dat 2024 partnering with Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO), Kenner Police Department (KPD), New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office (OPSO), St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office (SBPSO), St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office (STPSO), and LA Probation and Parole (LA P&P). Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) will also assist with the operation as needed.

Crimestoppers GNO will once again be providing critical support to the operation by publishing an Operation Boo Dat photo spread (“The House of Ghosts”) of some of the wanted fugitives and spotlighting these fugitives via Crimestoppers GNO social media and through New Orleans, LA metro area news outlets.

Crimestoppers GNO rewards will be offered for information leading to the arrest of fugitives featured on “The House of Ghost” as well as information that might lead to the capture of other fugitives not spotlighted on the photo spread. Operation Boo Dat 2024 (FY2025) will begin October 25, 2024 and conclude on January 18, 2025. The primary focus will be on wanted felony sex offender fugitives (related to violations of the sex offender registry) but open sex based felony offense warrant fugitives as well as other violent felony offenders will also be worked during the operation.

Partner local law agencies will also be conducting sex offender registration compliance checks during the operation to verify that registered sex offenders are still living at the addresses that they provided to their local sex offender registry unit.
