On May 6, 2006 at 3:40 a.m. the victim, Tommy Clark Gentry was involved in a physical altercation in a night club in the 200 block of Bourbon St.
Mr. Gentry walked to the intersection of Bourbon and Bienville Street where he was shot multiple times with a handgun by this same individual.
Mr. Gentry collapsed at the corner of Bienville and Dauphine. He was taken to Tulane Medical where he subsequently died.
