Tollette ‘Tonka’ George was a graduate of Edna Karr and Alcorn State University in Mississippi. Late on Friday, June 24, 2016, Police responded to the killing shortly before 10 p.m. and found a man lying motionless on the ground near the intersection of Lauradale Drive and Vespasian Street. George had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
