Sandra "Sandy" Peters Jefferson was pronounced dead on Mother's Day Weekend, May 12, 2012 from a blunt force that caused her skull to fracture in two spots and penetrate her brain.

There was also gun residue found at the crime scene in her Broadmoor home.
