On Sunday, December 27, 2020, John Harris III, 18, of Harvey was fatally wounded just after 1 p.m. near the 600 block of Ames Boulevard, according to the coroner's office. Mr. Harris was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle. He later died from his injuries.
