On May 26, 2015 around 3:45 am St. Tammany Deputies and family members found Barbara Rusich in a ditch in front of the Walgreens near the intersection of Louisiana 59 and Harrison Avenue.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Barbara Rusch died of multiple blunt force injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
